Pulse Monitor on iPhone
The Unofficial Apple Weblog posted this great video of the new, still to be approved by Apple, iPhone application. It is a pulse monitor which measures your heartbeat rate thru the microphone. It looks great and I can’t wait to try it. I am looking forward to some pulse oximeter probes for the iPhone so there is one less thing for me to carry around

Hi,
I am 41 with cystic fibrosis. I think an iPhone app to run a pulse oxymeter would be really cool. I am a bike commuter and would be really curious to monitor my O2 levels while I bike. I would also like to do routine overnight oxymetries.
lol this is NOT a pulse oximeter. this will NEVER show your O2%
“100/56″ is a good example of a great SpO2 reading. 100% oxygen saturation, and 56 bpm
Current iPhones will NEVER show your oxygen percentage because iPhones do NOT have infrared lights to read some of your blood supply.
