Apple had it right when they allowed people to create Apps for virtually everything. My interior designer friend uses an App for color swatches, for example. Another teacher friend uses a grading app she uses in the classroom. It's simply a great tool! As for me, my iPod Touch is my de-stresser--my jogging companion and my boredom eliminator. Hehe. Not exactly saving lives, but keeping daily living fun for me. (While we're at it, have you guys every encountered an iPod case that is similar to this iPhone case: http://blingmyiphone.com/alldesign_381950011_B001E90ICG_PCMICROSTORE-Brand-Apple-iPhone-3G-Spring-Flowers-Design-Snap-On-Case-Cover-with-Screen-Protector-Apple-3G-iPhone-NOT-Included.html ? As a student who misplaced his school-issued PDA sometime at the beginning of clerkship and replaced it with an iPod Touch, I can't believe how much better these devices are. There's an absolute boom in programming so there's tons of good software available, patients love them, and it's a great way to impress old surgeons who marvel at the pretty pictures. The iPhone/iPod Touch are totally the way to go for medical education.
